“In 1975 I spent a summer on the West Coast of Africa in Senegal, Liberia and Ghana. The airport lost my film. When my bag was retrieved security ran it through a scanning process, which ruined it. All that remained were four Polaroid pictures and a postcard. African Market is an excerpt from the postcard.”
